Commercial Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Legal Counsel to join a globally‑oriented organisation operating across the UK, EMEA and the US. The role will support a fast‑paced international business by providing commercial and corporate legal advice, with a strong focus on contract work.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts of varying complexity.
• Serve as the primary legal contact for client‑contract negotiations and ad‑hoc contractual queries.
• Support cross‑border projects, including setting up new entities in multiple jurisdictions.
• Handle regulatory and licensing matters, corporate governance, and pre‑action litigation work.
• Provide advice on employment law, data protection, and technology contracts.
• Conduct legal research and deliver training on relevant legal developments.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with 2‑4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in‑house or at a recognised law firm.
• Minimum two years’ experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Ability to give clear, commercial advice to business leaders and respond to diverse legal queries.
• Proactive relationship‑builder with multi‑jurisdictional legal teams and senior stakeholders.
• Interest in working in a demanding, international environment.
