Commercial Excellence Manager

About the role

The Commercial Excellence Manager drives sustainable commercial performance for Coloplast South Africa by enabling best‑in‑class sales execution, pricing discipline, forecasting accuracy and data‑driven decision‑making. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Business Support, the role partners with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Global Commercial Excellence teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and optimise sales force effectiveness through territory design, target setting, incentive management and CRM adoption.
• Own the sales forecasting process, improve accuracy, and lead the annual target‑setting cycle.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies, tools and processes that translate global frameworks into local actions.
• Support pricing strategy, monitor compliance, discounting and margin performance.
• Build commercial excellence capabilities via training, tools and best‑practice sharing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 3‑5 years experience in commercial management, business development or similar role, preferably in medical devices or healthcare.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to construct fact‑based recommendations and business cases.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English.
• Own transportation and a valid driver’s licence; one day per week remote work allowed.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Business Intelligence software.
• Salesforce CRM experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
