Commercial Counsel – Remote

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Counsel to work remotely on a contract basis. You will help shape our contract negotiation playbooks, draft commercial agreements, and provide expert guidance to improve our contract management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review, and refine contract negotiation playbooks tailored to real‑world scenarios.
• Draft, analyze, and annotate a variety of commercial agreements ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Provide commentary on best practices for contract management and negotiation strategies.
• Curate and supply non‑confidential transaction materials for AI‑training documentation.
• Evaluate and optimise existing contract templates to enhance efficiency and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with the micro1 team to align materials with project guidelines.
• Deliver high‑quality written and verbal feedback to improve system understanding and output.

Required profile

• Current or prior experience as General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, or Assistant General Counsel with a focus on contract negotiation.
• Proven expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management within corporate environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of industry‑standard practices for contract review and risk assessment.
• Experience developing or using contract negotiation playbooks for companies.
• Familiarity with document‑driven project assignments and sourcing eligible materials.
• Ability to work independently and provide concise, actionable insights for AI training.
