Cold Store Manager – Food Processing Facility

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cold Store Manager to lead all cold‑storage operations at our meat processing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining product integrity, ensuring food‑safety compliance, and driving efficient inventory management in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receiving, storage, picking and dispatch of chilled and frozen products.
• Maintain accurate stock control using FIFO and FEFO principles.
• Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile variances and use the Meat Matrix system for reporting.
• Monitor cold‑room capacity, product slotting and warehouse organisation to maximise efficiency.
• Ensure temperature compliance, maintain logs and support internal/external food‑safety audits.
• Enforce HACCP, hygiene, PPE and cleaning schedules.
• Lead, coach and schedule the Cold Store team, including forklift operators and warehouse staff.
• Collaborate daily with Production, Dispatch, Quality Assurance and Telesales teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing cold‑store or warehouse operations in a food‑processing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food‑safety regulations.
• Ability to lead a team, manage rosters and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Meat Matrix system.
• Understanding of FIFO and FEFO inventory methods.
• Temperature monitoring and control procedures.
• HACCP compliance and food‑safety documentation.
