About the role
Join Pick n Pay as a Clothing Store Manager and lead a dynamic retail team. You will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience while driving sales and maintaining store standards.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure a customer‑centric approach, applying service standards and handling all service requests.
- Assist the Store Manager with people management, including recruitment, training, performance management and staff development.
- Oversee daily operations such as opening/closing procedures, reporting, scheduling, invoicing, banking and expense control.
- Manage stock processes: receiving, merchandising, quality control, shrinkage reduction and OHS compliance.
- Drive sales through promotions, markdowns, RTCs and monitoring turnover against budgets.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a managerial position within retail.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends and after‑hours stock takes.
- Ability to relocate between stores as needed and perform physical, hands‑on tasks.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and staff‑development skills.
- Customer‑centric mindset, high energy, ability to work under pressure and a team‑player attitude.
