Clinical Psychologist – White River Wellness Centre

About the role

The Wellness Centre in White River is seeking a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to deliver evidence‑based psychological care to clients in recovery. You will join a multidisciplinary team focused on holistic treatment for addiction, trauma, stress, and dual diagnoses.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy using CBT, DBT, trauma‑focused approaches, and other modalities.
• Facilitate group therapy and psycho‑educational sessions.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, counsellors, and medical staff to ensure integrated care.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in family therapy, relapse‑prevention strategies, and after‑care planning.

Required profile

• Master’s or Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• 2–5 years of experience in rehabilitation centres, psychiatric hospitals, or community mental‑health settings.
• Experience working with international clients is an advantage.
