Clinical Nurse (R/N) – PB Qualified (6‑Month Contract)

About the role

Netcare Group is seeking a Professional Nurse (R/N) who is PB qualified to provide holistic, person‑centred care for patients at Netcare N1City Hospital. The role involves direct and indirect nursing care, coordination within a multidisciplinary team, and acting as a patient advocate.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and document individualized nursing care, ensuring communication with families and health professionals.
• Provide emergency treatment (RESUS) and respond quickly to critical situations across all hospital wards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, develop nursing care plans, and coordinate patient services.
• Contribute to policy development, quality and risk management, and ensure a safe, clean environment.
• Facilitate education and training for nursing staff and students, including emergency procedures and orientation.

Required profile

• Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
• Post‑basic qualification and thorough knowledge of general and specialized nursing theory and practice.
• Extensive experience in intensive care nursing and holistic patient care.

Required skills

• Use of electronic patient records and e‑prescribing systems.
