Clinical Nurse (R/N) – PB Qualified – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The Professional Nurse/Clinical Nurse at Netcare Linmed Hospital is responsible for delivering individualized, holistic, and person‑centred nursing care to patients, families, and the community. The role involves direct and indirect care, coordination within a multidisciplinary team, and the application of evidence‑based nursing theories.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in the unit.
• Serve as a clinical resource, supporting staff in documentation and care processes.
• Communicate with families and health professionals, acting as patient advocate when needed.
• Facilitate communication between nursing management and the unit to resolve care issues.
• Provide advanced nursing care in a specialised field according to standards, SOPs and medical direction.
• Initiate and lead emergency treatment (RESUS) for patients across any ward or department.
• Interview patients and families to gather background information and identify problems.

Required profile

• Qualified professional nurse (R/N) with PB registration.
• Ability to deliver holistic, person‑centred care and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of nursing theories, standards, and SOPs.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and health professionals.
• Capability to act as a patient advocate and resolve care‑related issues.

Required skills

• RESUS (emergency treatment) competency.
