About the role

The Professional Nurse/Clinical Nurse at Randburg Medicross is responsible for delivering individualized, holistic, person‑centred nursing care to patients, families and the community. Working within a multidisciplinary health team, the nurse coordinates care, applies evidence‑based nursing theories and supports patients physically, socially and spiritually.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Document care accurately and serve as a clinical resource for staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and health professionals, acting as patient advocate when needed.
• Facilitate information flow between nursing management and the unit to resolve care issues.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, high‑quality patient care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (R/N) qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering holistic, person‑centred nursing care.
• Ability to work within and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with patients, families and health professionals.
• Commitment to the values of care, truth, participation, compassion and dignity.
