Clinical Nurse (RN) experienced Cath Lab

About the role

The Clinical Nurse (RN) will work in the Cath Lab at Netcare Unitas Hospital, providing specialised, person‑centred nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will act as a key member of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe, high‑quality care from admission through discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic nursing care for Cath Lab patients and their families.
• Serve as a clinical resource, supporting staff with patient assessment, documentation and care coordination.
• Maintain clear communication between nursing management, the unit and external health professionals.
• Deliver advanced nursing interventions in line with SOPs, medical direction and nursing theory.
• Initiate and manage emergency resuscitation (RESUS) when required across the hospital.
• Interview patients and families to gather relevant clinical information and identify care needs.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with proven experience in a Cath Lab environment.
• Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and act as a patient advocate.
• Excellent clinical judgment and capacity to respond swiftly to emergency situations.
• Commitment to delivering person‑centred, holistic care.
