Clinical Nurse – Experienced – IFU

About the role

The Clinical Nurse provides holistic, person‑centred nursing care to patients, families and the community. Working within a multidisciplinary health team, the nurse assesses, plans and implements individualized care using evidence‑based nursing theories and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a clinical resource, supporting staff in assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of nursing care.
• Facilitate communication between families, health professionals and nursing management to ensure optimal patient care.
• Deliver advanced nursing care in line with SOPs, standards and medical direction.
• Initiate and direct emergency treatment (RESUS) across all hospital wards as required.
• Interview patients and families to gather background information and identify needs.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, conduct physician rounds, develop and review nursing care plans.
• Prepare shift documentation reflecting patient status, staffing ratios and identified problems.
• Provide input for patient‑care policy and procedure development.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with proven clinical experience.
• Strong ability to coordinate patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families and health professionals.
• Capability to act as patient advocate and manage emergency situations.
• Commitment to delivering holistic, person‑centred care.

Required skills

• Resuscitation (RESUS) techniques.
• Patient assessment and clinical documentation.
• Care planning and implementation of advanced nursing interventions.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, SOPs and evidence‑based practice.
