Client Liaison Officer – Smart Supply Chains

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, solutions‑oriented Client Liaison Officer to join our Johannesburg team. This office‑based position bridges customer liaison and logistics coordination, acting as the primary contact for delivery queries, route planning insights and driver support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily route adherence and monitor vehicle events.
• Liaise with stores and handle delivery queries on a daily basis.
• Provide assistance to drivers and acknowledge vehicle events.
• Report vehicle abuse and coordinate with the planning team to improve planning.
• Collaborate with the planning team to identify and implement planning improvements.
• Maintain regular communication with customers, drivers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with 1 year experience in distribution or a logistics qualification.
• Strong results focus with the ability to solve problems independently and under pressure.
• Excellent communication style – outgoing, professional and persuasive.
• Ability to build rapport with clients, drivers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Understanding of supply‑chain concepts (study or experience).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word.
