Client Liaison Officer – Short Term Insurance

A prominent financial services provider is seeking a Client Liaison Officer – Short Term Insurance to join its dynamic business team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This permanent position offers a market‑related salary with a lucrative commission structure.

Required profile

• Minimum RE5 certification and NQF Level 4 qualification (essential).
• Applicable Classes of Business certifications in short‑term insurance products as required by the FSCA.
• At least 7 years experience in financial services or wealth management.
• Minimum 5 years experience with in‑depth knowledge of short‑term personal and commercial insurance lines.
• Proven business success as a “hunter” in a target‑driven environment.
• Strong experience in customer care, business development, networking and prospecting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; well‑presented and professional.
• Ability to build multi‑level business relations with various stakeholders.
• Solid logistical knowledge of the Western Cape business landscape.
• Tenacious, driven and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken, read and written).
• Fluency in Zulu and Xhosa (advantageous).
• Proficient with MS Office and strong report‑writing ability.
• Valid driver’s licence with reliable personal transport.
