Client Liaison Officer - Medical Aid & Employee Benefits

About the role

A prominent financial services provider is seeking a Client Liaison Officer specializing in medical aid and employee benefits to join its dynamic business team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This permanent role offers a market‑related salary structure and involves managing client accounts and developing business relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum matriculation; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• RE5 certification and NQF level 5 qualification.
• Class of Business certification for health and medical aid products as required by the FSCA.
• Valid CMS certificate.
• At least 5 years experience in financial services or wealth management.
• Minimum 3 years experience with in‑depth knowledge of employee benefits, including medical aid products, hospital plans, medical insurance, pension funds, group life plans and related services.
• Experience managing parastatal client accounts is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record in customer care, business development, networking, prospecting and financial compliance.
• Demonstrated success in new‑business acquisition within a target‑driven environment.
• Strong key‑account management experience handling a variety of clients.
• Solid understanding of the Western Cape business landscape.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, professional presentation and ability to build multi‑level business relationships.
• Independent, tenacious and driven attitude.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans (spoken, read, written); fluency in Zulu and Xhosa highly advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence with reliable transport.
