Client Liaison Officer - Medical Aid & Employee Benefits

About the role

A prominent financial services provider is seeking a Client Liaison Officer specializing in medical aid and employee benefits to join its dynamic business team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This permanent position offers a market‑related salary structure.

Required profile

• Minimum matric, with a tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Minimum RE5 certification and NQF level 5 qualification.
• Applicable Class of Business certification in health and medical aid products as per the FSCA.
• Valid CMS certificate.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the financial services/wealth management industry.
• At least 3 years’ experience with in‑depth knowledge of employee benefits, including medical aid products, hospital plans, medical insurance, pension funds, group life plans and general employee benefits.
• Experience managing parastatal client accounts (highly advantageous).
• Strong background in customer care, business development, networking, prospecting and financial compliance.
• Proven new‑business success in a target‑driven environment.
• Track record in key account management while handling a variety of clients.
• Solid logistical knowledge of the Western Cape business landscape.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, well‑presented and professional.
• Ability to build multi‑level business relations with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, tenacious and driven.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken, read and written); fluency in Zulu and Xhosa highly advantageous.
• Fully competent in the MS Office programme with strong experience in report writing.
• Trustworthy, ethical with a strong sense of accountability.
• Valid driver’s licence with own reliable transport.
