Client Liaison Officer – Financial Services (Short Term Insurance)

About the role

A prominent financial services provider is seeking a Client Liaison Officer – Short Term Insurance to join its dynamic business team in Somerset West, Western Cape. This permanent position offers a market‑related salary together with a lucrative commission structure.

Required profile

• Minimum matric, with a tertiary qualification advantageous.
• Minimum RE5 certification and NQF level 4 qualification.
• Applicable Classes of Business certifications in short‑term insurance products as required by the FSCA.
• At least 7 years of experience in financial services/wealth management.
• Minimum 5 years of in‑depth knowledge of short‑term insurance personal and commercial lines.
• Proven business development and new‑business acquisition (“hunter”) experience in a target‑driven environment.
• Successful track record in key account management across a variety of clients.
• Strong logistical knowledge of the Western Cape business landscape.

Required skills

• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken, read, written); fluency in Zulu and Xhosa is highly advantageous.
• Fully competent in the MS Office suite with strong report‑writing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, well‑presented and professional.
• Valid driver’s licence with own reliable transport.
