Client Liaison Officer – Financial Services (Cape Town)

About the role

The financial services provider is seeking a Client Liaison Officer to join its dynamic team in Cape Town. This permanent role focuses on managing and growing client relationships within the wealth‑management and employee‑benefits space.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop parastatal and corporate client accounts, ensuring compliance with FSCA regulations.
• Drive business development through networking, prospecting and delivering new‑business targets.
• Provide expert advice on medical aid, hospital plans, pension funds, group life and other employee benefit products.
• Maintain key‑account relationships and build multi‑level connections with stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports using MS Office tools while adhering to financial compliance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum matric; tertiary qualification advantageous.
• RE5 certification and NQF Level 5 qualification, plus relevant class‑of‑business certification and a valid CMS certificate.
• At least 5 years experience in financial services/wealth management and 3 years focused on employee benefits.
• Proven track record in new‑business acquisition and key‑account management in a target‑driven environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Cape Town business landscape, fluent in English and Afrikaans (Xhosa advantageous), and a valid driver’s licence with reliable transport.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Advanced report writing capabilities.
