About the role

The Client Engagement Adviser – Retentions will join Santam’s Client Solutions team in Tygervalley, Cape Town. The role focuses on retaining existing insurance clients, delivering world‑class service, and meeting performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Retain clients by leveraging persuasive skills to identify and address their needs.
• Proactively engage clients with unpaid debit orders to create retention opportunities.
• Reinstate cancelled policies using effective persuasion techniques.
• Educate clients on product features, billing processes, and overall value.
• Meet monthly performance metrics and adhere to workforce management protocols.
• Drive upselling and cross‑selling initiatives as part of marketing campaigns.
• Research competitive pricing and policy options to provide suitable comparisons.

Required profile

• RE qualification.
• FAIS compliance (150 credits).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in personal lines insurance with a focus on retentions.
