About the role
The University is looking for energetic and experienced Cleaners to provide comprehensive cleaning duties that keep the campus environment hazard-free, hygienic and usable. The work involves physical activity both inside and outside buildings and across various university facilities.
Key responsibilities
- General cleaning in offices, kitchens, ablutions, laboratories, passages, corridors and venues
- Refuse removal
- Operating minor machinery, moving furniture, window cleaning and deep floor cleaning
- Maintenance of cleaning areas
Required profile
- Grade 8 qualification
- One year of relevant experience in the cleaning industry
Required skills
- Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of the operation of basic cleaning equipment
