Claims Assessor

About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Claims Assessor to ensure that all claims are accurately assessed and processed in accordance with Bestmed’s benefit and tariff structures. The successful candidate will apply the relevant rules and guidelines to each claim, ensuring correct and timely payment while maintaining accuracy, consistency and compliance. This role supports efficient claims administration and delivers a high standard of service to members and providers.
Key responsibilities
- Assess claims using the appropriate rules and ensure correct payment in line with Bestmed’s benefit and tariff structures.
- Meet quality, production, operational and department targets.
Required profile
- Grade 12 qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of claims assessing experience in the medical aid industry.
