Civil Design Technologist – Westville

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Civil Design Technologist to join our Westville team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality municipal and site infrastructure designs, focusing on road geometry, pipe reticulation networks, and building civils using advanced CADD tools.

Key responsibilities

• Execute geometric road designs, pipe network reticulations, and earthworks for commercial office developments and municipal projects.
• Create accurate 3D terrain models, road alignments, and utility layouts using Model Maker, Pipe Maker, and CADD software.
• Design site bulk earthworks, platform levels, storm‑water drainage, water supply, and sewer systems for office park developments.
• Perform technical calculations for earthwork volumes, hydraulic capacities, and support the preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender specifications.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with client requirements, local municipal bylaws, and South African engineering standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in civil infrastructure design.
• BTech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Based in Westville, KZN, or able to commute daily.
