CICU Unit Manager – Pretoria

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic CICU Unit Manager to lead clinical governance, patient safety, and quality nursing care within a multidisciplinary team at a leading private hospital in Pretoria. This senior nursing role combines leadership, financial oversight, and continuous improvement to ensure safe, cost‑effective patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and support stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff, promoting professional growth and wellbeing.
• Oversee departmental budgeting, billing processes, and stock control.
• Drive quality improvement, risk management, and infection control initiatives.
• Ensure patient care aligns with clinical governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid SANC registration and a Diploma/B Cur or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of proven clinical leadership experience, preferably in a private hospital setting.
• Strong financial acumen and ability to manage departmental costs.
• Intermediate computer proficiency.
• Management qualification is advantageous.

Required skills
