Chief Quality Officer – Medical (UAE)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Chief Quality Officer to lead quality, patient safety and performance improvement for a hospital in the United Arab Emirates. The role will shape quality strategy, monitor key performance indicators and ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the hospital’s quality management, patient safety and risk management programmes.
• Develop, review and implement policies, procedures and quality frameworks.
• Monitor clinical and operational KPIs, analyse trends and recommend improvement actions.
• Support internal audits, accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Promote a culture of excellence, safety and continuous improvement across all departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, nursing, medicine, public health or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Significant experience in healthcare quality, patient safety or clinical governance.
• Strong knowledge of UAE healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, analytical and report‑writing skills.
• Clinical experience or a clinical qualification is preferred.
