Chief Operating Officer – Enterprise & Operations Lead

About the role

An exciting opportunity for a COO to lead the launch of a new national bank that blends digital banking with a large physical retail network. You will ensure enterprise and operational readiness for the planned 2027 launch and build a scalable, sustainable operating model for long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver agreed strategic priorities and achieve enterprise execution milestones.
• Drive launch readiness, meeting 2027 milestones and ensuring enterprise readiness for go‑live.
• Design, optimise and automate the operating model for effectiveness and scalability.
• Manage operational risk, resolve material incidents and maintain governance controls.
• Oversee financial performance against budget, improve cost efficiency and productivity.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience with senior management or executive responsibility.
• Proven track record designing, implementing or transforming operating models.
• Experience in regulated financial services, fintech, payments or similarly complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional transformation and strategic execution.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budget and third‑party management.
