About the role
The National Prosecuting Authority seeks two experienced Chief Criminal Investigators to lead strategic investigations within the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption.
Key responsibilities
- Manage strategic planning and implementation of complex investigations.
- Coordinate stakeholder relations and oversee national investigative projects.
- Supervise the conduct of high‑quality criminal investigations and special operations.
- Lead human‑resource functions for investigation teams.
Required profile
- Relevant B degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF level 7) in policing or criminal investigation.
- At least ten years of investigative experience, with five years in middle‑management.
- Demonstrated competency in independence, professionalism, accountability and credibility.
- Experience testifying in High Court and managing forensic service providers.
- Strong knowledge of South African legislation such as the Constitution, Criminal Procedure Act, POCA, NPA Act and related statutes.
- Valid driver’s licence.
