Chemical Engineer – Operations & Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to join our operations and projects team at a leading chemical process manufacturer. You will work closely with Production to keep the plant running safely, reliably and efficiently while delivering process improvements and engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support plant operations by analysing data, identifying deviations and troubleshooting catalyst, equipment and quality issues.
• Lead root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures.
• Manage process‑improvement projects from concept through commissioning, including budgeting and scope definition.
• Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments and management‑of‑change (MOC) activities.
• Update technical documentation, procedures and training material.

Required profile

• BSc in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in complex chemical‑process plant operations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot catalytic industrial processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with leadership potential.
• Own reliable transport and willingness to provide after‑hours support.
