About the role
eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality is recruiting Cashiers for the Recreation and Parks Directorate in Durban. The role is within the Parks, Leisure and Cemeteries Division and includes ticket sales, bookings, permits and assisting the public.
Key responsibilities
- Selling tickets and coupons
- Processing pool bookings
- Issuing permits to the public
- Assisting members of the public
- Supporting the Pool Supervisor
- Operating the cash register
- Following municipal processes and procedures
Required profile
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent
- At least 3 months’ cashiering experience
- Computer literacy
- Ability to operate a cash register
- Good written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
- Customer‑focused approach
- Professional and ethical conduct
- Advantageous: 6 months’ relevant cashiering experience
