Cashier / Front Office Assistant

About the role

Join a busy food franchise outlet in Rosebank, Johannesburg as a Cashier / Front Office Assistant. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling payments, orders and enquiries while supporting the smooth operation of the front of house.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, card and other customer payments accurately.
• Take and relay customer orders to the kitchen.
• Welcome and assist customers in a professional manner.
• Answer telephone calls and manage telephone orders when required.
• Maintain daily cash‑ups and transaction records.
• Keep the front counter and customer area clean and organised.
• Support general front‑office and administrative duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a cashier or front‑of‑house staff, preferably in a restaurant, takeaway or food franchise.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Reliability, punctuality and a well‑presented appearance.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle shift work, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS/till systems.
• Basic computer and administrative skills.
