Cashier – Fourways Mall

About the role

Dis‑Chem Pharmacies is seeking experienced cashiers for its Fourways Mall store in the Sandton region. You will support customers at the point of sale, ensuring a world‑class shopping experience while accurately processing transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Dis‑Chem POS system, record transactions, and handle cash, cards, vouchers and loyalty programmes.
• Maintain cash flow, ensure accurate till balances, and follow security and fraud‑prevention procedures.
• Process refunds, exchanges and returns in accordance with company policy.
• Provide customer service, address queries, and report complaints or compliments to supervisors.
• Adhere to store promotions, sales targets and safety standards.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Minimum 6 months experience in cashier or till operations.
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Basic numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work retail hours and reliable transport.

Required skills

• Computer literate – proficient with MS Office.
• Experience operating cash registers and handling cash drawers.
