Cashbook Clerk – Finance Operations

About the role

Join an innovative FinTech company based in Sandton as a Cashbook Clerk. You will handle high‑volume cashbook transactions, reconcile bank statements and support a collaborative finance team that values speed, accuracy and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Process daily cashbook transactions across multiple bank accounts
• Perform daily and month‑end bank reconciliations
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances
• Process EFT payments and other banking transactions
• Support month‑end reporting and financial reconciliations
• Assist with audit queries and compliance requirements
• Rotate across multiple bank accounts to ensure business continuity
• Maintain deadlines, controls and financial procedures consistently

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 2–3 years of experience in a cashbook‑focused role
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Navision / Business Central 365 (advantageous)
• Accpac experience (advantageous)
• Sound understanding of cashbook processing and bank reconciliations
• General knowledge of VAT principles
