Case Manager General – Fixed Term

About the role

This fixed‑term vacancy is for a Case Manager General on the general ward of Life Beacon Bay Hospital. Reporting to the Patient Services Manager, the role is responsible for managing the financial and clinical risk of patients by ensuring accurate coding, timely clinical updates and proper submission of accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise revenue through accurate medical coding and correct application of RSRT contracts.
• Monitor insurance verification, workflow processes and ensure timely claim submissions.
• Perform quality walkabouts, implement improvement programmes and act on Q‑evaluator scores.
• Adhere to patient‑services escalation processes and meet QMS targets.
• Investigate internal and external stakeholder complaints and maintain high customer‑service standards.
• Ensure compliance with LHC policies, service‑level agreements and governance procedures.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing training on RSRT contracts where required.
• Update length of stay, level of care and release care‑risk targets within two days of discharge.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Clinical Associates, Paramedics (Critical Care Assistants or Emergency Care Practitioners) or an equivalent qualification covering anatomy and physiology.
