Care Manager – Frail Care

About the role

GEOTECH is seeking a Care Manager to lead frail‑care services across its retirement facilities. The role ensures high‑quality nursing standards, compliance with legislation, and a supportive environment for residents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation (Parliament, SANC, CPOA, municipal by‑laws).
• Assess unit staffing, equipment and supply needs; create rosters, manage annual leave and shift rotations.
• Implement and monitor the DigiAge system and oversee nursing care plans, admissions assessments and orientation programmes.
• Supervise professional and enrolled nurses, ensuring correct implementation of nursing regimens.
• Collect and collate data for monthly and quarterly medical reports and communicate with the multidisciplinary health team.
• Evaluate staffing ratios, monitor attendance and performance, and deliver in‑service education.

Required profile

• Registered nurse or qualified health professional with experience in frail‑care or retirement‑facility settings.
• Strong knowledge of South African nursing regulations (SANC, CPOA) and local by‑laws.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and control staff schedules, supplies and equipment.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with DigiAge system and TGO scheduling tools.
