Campus Bursar – Full Finance Function Lead

About the role

The organisation is seeking a hands‑on finance professional to own the full finance function for its education‑focused campus. You will partner with leadership, manage budgets and ensure financial accuracy across all operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the complete finance function, including budgeting, reporting and cash management.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial management and expenditure control.
• Analyse monthly management accounts and present financial findings.
• Monitor daily income and expenditure against approved budgets.
• Manage procurement, accounts payable, supplier processes and debtors collections.
• Prepare month‑end reconciliations, journals and accurate billing information.

Required profile

• Completed Matric; bookkeeping or accounting qualification is advantageous.
• 7–10 years of experience in a finance or accounting environment.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations and budgeting.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and debt management processes.
