Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Buyer will be responsible for procuring goods and services needed for Sandvik Mining’s operations. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will manage the full purchase order cycle and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and release purchase orders for required materials and services.
• Administer order acknowledgements, monitor confirmations and follow up on any deviations.
• Track deliveries and coordinate with suppliers to resolve issues.
• Provide purchasing support to internal users and identify sourcing opportunities.
• Prepare and propose sourcing activities based on business needs.
• Onboard new suppliers, including evaluation and approval.
• Ensure adherence to global, regional, country and local contracts.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Supply Chain or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a buying or procurement role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement procedures.
• Analytical and planning abilities.
• Leadership experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.
