Buyer – Manufacturing (Cape Town)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to support our electronics manufacturing operations. You will manage the procurement process from request for quotation (RFQ) to order fulfilment, ensuring material availability for production and on‑time delivery to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Execute RFQs and purchase orders in line with MRP requirements.
• Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and stock codes.
• Track deliveries, expedite delayed components and follow up with suppliers.
• Prepare shortage reports, supplier comparisons and escalate supply risks.
• Support inventory control through cycle counts and identify excess or obsolete stock.
• Assist with stock optimisation, costing, quotation preparation and order fulfilment.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering or a related analytical field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing procurement.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electronic components and supply‑chain processes.
