Buyer – Inventory & Purchasing Management

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Buyer to manage stock levels, generate purchase orders and ensure a continuous supply of raw materials and components for our mining solutions division. Reporting to the Global EIS Development Manager, you will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to support production planning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain optimal inventory levels and prepare accurate bill of materials.
• Generate and process purchase orders using the QAD system.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and handle quarantine items and returns.
• Produce regular inventory, cost movement and wastage reports.
• Support material requirements planning and calculate projected availability for production.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or National Diploma in Purchasing (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience in inventory and purchasing management.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QAD purchasing software.
