Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst

About the role

The Business Intelligence & Automation Analyst will report to the Head of Continuous Improvement & Control and work on the company’s digital transformation agenda. Based 50% in Paarden Eiland and 50% in Atlantis, Cape Town, the role focuses on building data‑driven solutions that improve efficiency across the seafood import/export business.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI reports and interactive dashboards.
• Create and optimise SQL queries, views and data models for operational reporting.
• Automate data workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps and Copilot Studio.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate SAP, Innova and other ERP data sources.
• Support AI‑driven initiatives and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in Business Intelligence or Automation roles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Curious, eager to learn and passionate about technology and process improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL development.
• Power BI reporting and dashboard creation.
• Microsoft Excel (advanced).
• Copilot Studio.
• Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience with AI tools and automation platforms.
• Familiarity with SAP, ERP or Innova systems.
