Business Development & Sales Executive

About the role

Rectron is looking for an experienced Business Development & Sales Executive to drive growth of its barcode and RFID solutions within the IT channel. The role focuses on expanding market presence across logistics, transport, supply chain and retail sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, site visits and relationship‑building activities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales cycle.
• Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and client functions.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve agreed sales and revenue targets.

Required profile

• National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Sales or Marketing.
• 5–8 years of sales experience within the IT channel, preferably with end‑user exposure.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Understanding of channel and distributor relationships in the IT business.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Strong business development and new‑business acquisition abilities.
• Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience using CRM systems.
