Business Development Representative – Pipeline (Upington)

About the role

The Business Development Representative (Sales Rep) will drive growth in volumes sold and market share for the Upington depot. You will deliver market‑driven, differentiated service to build sustainable competitiveness within clearly identified segments.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for the assigned area.
• Manage and supervise distributors (orders, payment, redistribution).
• Ensure IB products are stocked with the full range at customers and retail outlets.
• Maintain merchandising visibility (POS and chillers) in customer locations.
• Place chillers correctly and ensure exclusive use for IBPLC products.
• Monitor recommended pricing at sales outlets.
• Track competitor actions closely.

Required profile

• 3‑year degree qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience in sales, marketing or FMCG.
• Valid unendorsed Code 8 driver’s licence.
• Basic computer literacy with experience using Microsoft Office.
• Local area knowledge of Upington.
• Excellent administration and relationship‑management skills.
• Strong negotiation, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Professional demeanor and customer‑service focus.
