Business Development Manager - Gauteng

About the role

Glacier by Sanlam is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of its covered investment solutions across the Gauteng region. The role will support Platform Business Development Managers, enable SanlamConnect consultants and intermediaries, and deliver a superior adviser experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer contact plans to launch products and engage prospects.
• Identify new business opportunities through referrals, trade shows and market data analysis.
• Monitor sales and market data to pinpoint growth areas and support business development.
• Manage performance by setting objectives, reviewing team output and taking corrective actions.
• Coach team members to build organisational capability and drive results.
• Communicate local action plans, motivate staff and align activities with the broader business strategy.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or Honours degree; CFP accreditation advantageous.
• Minimum eight years’ experience in investment distribution and adviser enablement.
• Proven sales track record within the investment industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of retail covered solutions, collective investments and structured products.
• Valid driver’s licence, reliable vehicle and willingness to travel within the region.
