Business Development Manager – Corporate Training

About the role

We are seeking a high‑energy Business Development Manager to drive corporate training sales across the Eastern Cape. The role is field‑based, requiring frequent travel to client sites to build relationships and close new business.

Key responsibilities

• Generate a fresh pipeline by prospecting, cold‑calling and identifying B2B opportunities from scratch.
• Travel to corporate clients to present, promote and sell training portfolios, acting as a commercial advisor.
• Conduct deep organisational needs analyses, diagnose skills and compliance gaps, and design tailored training solutions.
• Maintain CRM records, follow up persistently, and manage client databases to maximise conversion.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking forums to increase brand visibility.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate; a degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Management or related field is advantageous.
• Valid Code B (Code 08) driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle.
• Expert knowledge of B‑BBEE codes, SETA and QCTO accreditation frameworks, and how skills‑development spend impacts corporate scorecards.
• Proven hunter mentality with strong cold‑calling and networking abilities.

What we offer

• Salary ranging from R15 000 to R20 000 per month, negotiable based on experience.
• Commission structure, travel reimbursement and cellphone allowance.
• Flexible field‑based work schedule: Monday‑Thursday 8 am‑5 pm, Friday 8 am‑3 pm.
