Business Development Manager – Automotive

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives within the automotive and heavy‑duty truck sector in Durbanville. The successful candidate will combine engineering knowledge with commercial acumen to identify new opportunities, expand market share and drive revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities in the automotive and commercial vehicle market.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, marketing initiatives and brand development plans.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships and alliances.
• Lead strategic planning and execution to achieve revenue targets.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align product development with customer needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Industrial Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in business development or sales within the automotive, heavy‑duty truck or engineering sector.
• Proven track record of expanding market share and driving revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of commercial vehicle product development and engineering solutions.
• South African citizenship.
