Business Development Executive – Travel Industry

About the role

The Business Development Executive will drive new revenue for Tourvest Travel Services by promoting its online Travel and Expense Management technology and MICE solutions. You will act as the face of the company to prospective clients, showcasing our services and securing contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new business through cold calling, tenders, proposals and presentations.
• Develop strategic account plans, qualify opportunities and align with the company product strategy.
• Communicate value propositions to executives and stakeholders.
• Leverage marketing data and management tools to maximise sales efficiency.
• Ensure operational requirements are sold in line with SOPs and meet annual sales targets.
• Present ROI analyses and collaborate with Operations on MICE RFP budgets.
• Maintain high service levels, manage client expectations and build lasting relationships.
• Participate in company meetings, team‑building events and support senior managers as needed.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in MICE sales.
• Strong business communication and financial acumen for fee model negotiations.
• Proven ability to analyse client MI reports and deliver clear presentations.
• Excellent relationship‑building and public‑speaking skills.
