Business Development Consultant – Recruitment & Advisory

About the role

Sapientis Talent Management is seeking a driven Business Development Consultant to expand its client base across South Africa, Africa and the Middle East. You will act as the front‑line advocate for our recruitment and advisory services, identifying new opportunities and building lasting relationships with senior decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities within target industries.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Conduct outbound prospecting via calls, email campaigns, networking, referrals and social selling.
• Arrange and lead client meetings, presentations and solution discussions.
• Prepare tailored proposals and service offerings.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and track all activities accurately.
• Collaborate with recruitment and delivery teams to ensure exceptional client service.
• Represent Sapientis at industry events, networking functions and client engagements.
• Enhance market presence through LinkedIn and other professional platforms.

Required profile

• 3–5 years proven experience in business development, sales, account management or recruitment sales.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Strong networking and relationship‑building capabilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to engage senior executives and business leaders.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and results‑driven.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
