Business Developer / Sales Consultant

About the role

Our client, a growing office furniture and commercial interiors business in Somerset West, is seeking an experienced Business Developer / Sales Consultant. The role focuses on identifying new B2B opportunities, building relationships with decision‑makers, and converting those relationships into revenue to support the next stage of growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new B2B business opportunities across the Western Cape.
• Prospect for new clients, generate leads and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners, facilities teams, procurement, designers and other stakeholders.
• Understand client requirements and design appropriate office furniture and interior solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and follow up proactively.
• Develop existing client relationships to secure repeat and additional business.
• Achieve agreed sales and business‑development targets.
• Represent the company professionally in the market and contribute growth ideas.

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales experience with a track record of generating new business.
• Experience in office furniture, commercial interiors, workplace solutions or a related industry is highly advantageous.
• Strong prospecting, relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and confidence engaging with decision‑makers.
• Excellent negotiation and closing ability.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within the Helderberg/Cape Town area.
