Business Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Business Developer to identify and win new business for our client’s lithium‑ion battery energy storage systems and smart power management solutions. The role combines customer‑facing sales with a solid understanding of technical energy challenges across various high‑intensity sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new opportunities in agriculture, mining, manufacturing and other energy‑intensive sectors.
• Analyse customers’ electricity costs, power‑quality issues and infrastructure needs.
• Collaborate with technical and project teams to design suitable solar and battery storage solutions.
• Present project proposals and financing options, including power purchase agreements, and convert leads into sales.
• Build trusted relationships and act as the single point of accountability for customers, coordinating internal support.

Required profile

• Approximately four to five years of sales experience in the energy industry (flexible based on proven capability).
• Practical electrical knowledge and understanding of how energy solutions address cost and operational challenges.
• Proven ability to generate new business and sell directly to end‑customers, preferably in target sectors.
• Self‑starting, customer‑focused attitude with confidence discussing technical solutions.
