Business Developer – ASTRA (SO Department)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Developer to join the ASTRA – SO Department at Bosch Group in Brits, South Africa. In this role you will drive new business for our tracking and telematics solutions across multiple industries, building strong relationships and delivering tailored value propositions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and qualify new leads in target sectors such as logistics, transportation, construction, agriculture, mining, rental fleets and security.
• Conduct needs assessments, develop and present customized tracking solutions, and articulate ROI to clients.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through proposal, negotiation and contract signing.
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships, act as a trusted advisor and identify upselling or cross‑selling opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and provide feedback to product and marketing teams.
• Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts and pipeline updates for management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales of tracking, telematics or asset‑management solutions within the agricultural, automotive, transport or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of the South African market and ability to develop innovative monitoring solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Result‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
