Business Analyst Internship – 6 months in Cape Town

About the role

Amazon’s EU Student Programs Team is offering a 6‑month Business Analyst internship in Cape Town. Interns will work within Amazon’s core consumer business, gaining exposure to business intelligence, retail and seller services while developing analytical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational, finance, retail and technical teams to identify opportunities, build business cases and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with large volumes of big data in a complex business environment.
• Utilize business intelligence tools to access data from multiple sources, uncover strategic opportunities and deliver results.

Required profile

• Available for a full‑time, 6‑month internship between January and December 2024.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with graduation after the internship.
• Fluent written and verbal English (C1+).
• Based in Cape Town for the internship duration.
• Preferred: experience in financial or business analysis.
• Preferred: familiarity with SQL or ETL processes.
• Preferred: strong analytical and quantitative skills.
