Business Account Manager – Commission‑Based Role

About the role

Old Mutual is looking for a self‑motivated Business Account Manager to build and grow a portfolio of independent financial advisers in Sandton, Johannesburg. This is a commission‑only position where your earnings are directly linked to the production you generate.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with independent financial advisers (IFAs).
• Drive production and retention by increasing business flows and ensuring long‑term value.
• Identify market opportunities, run targeted campaigns and convert pipelines into active production.
• Provide advisers with insight and support beyond products, positioning yourself as a trusted partner.
• Own your results and earnings through a performance‑based model.

Required profile

• Experience in financial planning, advice or financial services marketing.
• Strong relationship‑building and influencing abilities.
• Highly goal‑driven, commercially minded and comfortable with commission‑only compensation.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build a personal business within a reputable brand.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Strong numerical and commercial capability.
• Tertiary qualification (advantageous).
