Buildings Claims Assessor – Cape Town

About the role

As a Claims Assessor for OUTsurance's building division, you will be based in Cape Town and responsible for assessing, validating and finalising building‑related claims for both personal and business policyholders. The role combines on‑site inspections, client interaction and comprehensive administration to ensure claims are processed efficiently and to the company’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Incident Validation – investigate and confirm the accuracy of reported incidents against policy terms.
• Client Engagement – meet policyholders and witnesses to gather information and guide them through the claims process.
• Report Finalisation – compile detailed claim reports, attach photographs and supporting documents.
• Service Provider Liaison – coordinate with builders, contractors and other service providers to facilitate repairs.
• Decision Making & Administration – determine claim settlements and manage all related paperwork.
• Query Resolution – address and resolve queries from clients and service providers promptly.
• Quality Assurance – ensure all activities meet OUTsurance’s performance and quality standards.
